5 Steps to start a successful Winter
1. Ensure that freeze protection is working prior to the first freeze.
2. Clean filter and strainer baskets before the freeze begins.
3. General Check up of all equipment and exposed piping. Verify that no small drips or leaks are present.
4. Verify that the appropriate settings are used and set for Freeze protection.
5. Winterize any equipment that is not necessary during the winter run cycle.

Ensure that pool water is continuously circulating through the filtration system and through any alternative feature or plumbing systems.
Remove Pressure side Cleaner Pump from regular schedule, Water will run through the pump while the pool is in filtration mode.
Do not turn cleaner pump on until weather has warmed up a few days to keep from damaging the internals of cleaner pump. Feature Pumps can be winterized but are not required to be.
In the event of a power loss, steps to winterize:
1. Turn off all power and the breakers to the pool equipment.
2. Remove drain plugs from pumps located on the bottom side.
3. Remove lids from pumps.
4. Remove drain plug from front of booster pump.
5. Remove drain plug from bottom of Pool filter.
6. Remove drain plug from the heater.
7. Remove drain plug from any other equipment necessary to remove all standing water from appliances.

Pool water level that is higher than the equipment level will need to be taken into consideration before draining water off.
